The law on the Mongolian script was approved in 2015. According to this law, the National Writing Program is being implemented step by step and proper preparation is under progress.
The law on the Mongolian script stipulates that from January 1, 2025, state and local self-governing organizations will conduct their official affairs in Cyrillic and the Mongolian script dual script. Since this provision will be implemented in two years, the government has approved the "National Mongolian Script Program III" and the National Language Policy Council is in charge.
