At the invitation of Mongolian Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg, New Zealand's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters arrived in Ulaanbaatar on February 27, 2025 for an official visit.
Upon his arrival at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, Foreign Minister Peters and his delegation were welcomed by Mongolian Ambassador to New Zealand D.Davaasuren and other officials.
During his visit, Foreign Minister Peters is scheduled to meet with Speaker of the Parliament D.Amarbayasgalan and Prime Minister L.Oyun-Erdene. He will also hold official talks with Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation.
According to the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this visit marks the first by a New Zealand Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister since 2013. It is particularly significant as it coincides with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and New Zealand
