The 9th Asian Winter Games, "Harbin-2025," officially kicked off today in Harbin, China. A total of 1,275 athletes from 34 countries are competing in 64 events across 11 sports. Mongolia’s national team is participating with high hopes and determination.
B.Gereltuya made history by becoming the first Mongolian athlete to reach the semi-finals in the Asian Winter Games, competing in the 1,000-meter and 1,500-meter short track speed skating events.
E.Munkh-Erdene (500 meters) and G.Munkh-Erdene (1,500 meters) also delivered impressive performances, setting new national records for Mongolia.
B.Gereltuya’s growing list of international achievements includes:
Gold overall at the "Danubia Series–Sofia Open 2023" and "Sea Cup" competitions
Silver overall at the "Deutschland Cup" competition
Two bronze medals at the Asian Trophy international competition
Two gold medals and one silver at the "Sea Trophy Manila" international competition
