"Dakar Rally-2015" races, the co-called Auto Sport Olympics, finished on 18th of January. The race lasted almost for two weeks and the participants had raced about 9,000 kilometres of South America region.
This year, Mongolia-Hungary joint crew had raced with three cars. However, #413 coordinator U.Byambatsogt, International Master had raced for three days and left the race according to technical regulation while #355 coordinator D.Jargalsaikhan`s car motor was broken and left the race at 11th day.
#431 coordinator Sports Masters, B.Byambadelger and B.Surendorj, driven by N.Lkhamaa, International Master, car became the only hope.
Finally, they have finished the race and keeping the Mongolians and the team`s hope. They have raced for 13 days. Thus, Mongolians had successfully finished the Dakar Rally race in car category for the first time. Even it was third rally for N.Lkhamaa, International Master, he has finished his road for the first time. Before, he was competing in bike category for 2 years.
This year, although143 cars started the race only 67 of them had finished the race. Mongolian crew ranked at 62th.
#83 D.Boldbaatar, International Master, has competed in bike category for the third time. Last year, he successfully finished his route and became the first in Mongolian motorcycle history. This year, he advanced his success.
#117 Ch.Anar has competed in Dakar Rally for the first time and he successfully finished his route in 13 days. At the opening day, he drew attention of many by wearing fox fur hat.
At the eighth day, race was to across the lagoon. During the race, his motorcycle electrical conductors were caught in short circuit and turned off the motorcycle at few kilometres away from the finish line. Fortunately, #124 French competitor helped him. In return, Anar dragged him for next 30 kilometres and reached the finish line. Thus, he has finished the race.
This year, 168 motorcycles have started and 79 motorcycles have finished the route. D.Boldbaatar ranked at 45th, while Ch.Anar ranked at 78th. Marc Coma, Spanish competitor won the bike category at Dakar Rally 2015 and it became his fifth win.
