This year marks the 805th anniversary of the birth of Kublai Setsen Khan, successor of Genghis Khan. Related to this, the wax exhibition "Kublai Khan and the Mongolian Generals" which restored the image of Kublai Khan, opened today at the Mongolian National Museum.
The exhibition features wax sculptures of Kublai Khan, historical figures of the Mongol Empire, heroes, and unique artifacts from the Yuan Dynasty, which are housed in the National Museum of Mongolia. The exhibition is open to the public until October 23.
"Wax sculptures are a unique type of fine art that incorporates the images, faces, and physical features of historical figures. It is presented in an interesting way that makes the moment feel as real today” said N.Delgermaa, director of the Genghis Khan Wax Museum.
