Smart living moving into mainstream use A child interacts with a robot designed for electronic companion during the World Smart Industry Expo 2025 in Chongqing on Sept 6.

At the World Smart Industry Expo 2025 in Chongqing, artificial intelligence is becoming a constant presence in daily life. From smart kitchen appliances that recognize ingredients and adjust cooking times, to AI glasses that display directions in real time, intelligent technologies are quietly reshaping everyday routines.

During commuting, voice commands allow AI assistants to compare options and place orders, while AI companion toys at home can sense mood and develop personalized interactions. According to Sandy Xu Ran, CEO of Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com, AI-related searches on the platform have surged nearly 100-fold, highlighting growing consumer demand.

Experts note that AI integration across smartphones, wearables, and home appliances reflects maturing technologies and rising expectations for smarter, more personalized living, signaling that smart living is moving beyond concept into mainstream adoption.
