Young Mongolian karate athletes won a total of 20 medals at the JKA International Gashuko and tournament held in Davao, the Philippines, on August 29–30.
More than 400 athletes from Asian countries took part in the competition. Mongolia was represented by 10 athletes, who won 9 gold, 8 silver, and 3 bronze medals, placing Mongolia first in the overall team standings.
The Mongolian team was coached by Giovanni Virardi and E.Gereltungalag.
