NUM ranked 1501 in world university rankings

In the 2024 edition of "The Times Higher Education World University Rankings," which included 1907 universities from 108 countries, the National University of Mongolia (NUM) was ranked in the 1501+ category, marking the first time a Mongolian university has been included in these prestigious global rankings.

B.Ochirkhuyag, Rector of NUM, stated that the university has consistently worked toward meeting the international criteria required for such rankings, producing an average of 200 academic articles annually. These efforts have contributed to their inclusion in the global ranking system.

J.Ariunbold, head of the Department of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education, noted that this achievement will have a significant impact on Mongolia's higher education sector, paving the way for other public and private institutions to join international rankings. He emphasized the potential for collaboration between Mongolian institutions and international universities, particularly in curriculum development and academic research.
