On December 6, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism gave information on current issues.
Kh.Batchimeg, Head of the Department of Tourism Policy: The tripartite cooperation memorandum for the implementation of the "One Tourist - One Sheep" program was signed by B.Bat-Erdene, Minister of Environment and Tourism, B.Ariun-Erdene, the Governor of Bulgan Province, and Ts.Baatarsaikhan, President of the Association for Professionals in Tourism.
According to the memorandum, "One tourist-One sheep" program” will be implemented under cooperation with the Association for Professionals in Tourism with the purpose of attracting interest from Korean tourists.
It was reflected that promotion activities will be made in South Korea, and one sheep in Bulgan province will be arranged for one tourist, and the sheep will be carried by the herdsman in the province.
A solid waste landfill and wastewater treatment plant in Khatgal village of Khuvsgul province have been put into operation. Within the framework of the goal of "Improving waste management", we are working to rehabilitate the open garbage field in Khargan-am in Khatgal village of Alag-Erdene soum of the province, and to hand over a new 2nd level centralized landfill and domestic wastewater treatment facility to the State commission within this year.
Due to 2023-2025 announced as the year to visit Mongolia, the event to be held in 2023 was approved by the government. Within this context, over 70 events were organized. In 2024, it is announced that 189 events will be organized throughout Mongolia. And we are working to make a 2024 event calendar, and developing drafts to present to the cabinet meeting.
