This month Mongolia observes two public holidays. On November 21, 2025, Mongolians mark the traditional birth date of Chinggis Khaan, which is fixed to the first day of the first winter month in the lunar calendar for the year 1162 (the year of the Water Horse).
On November 26, the country celebrates Republic Day, commemorating the adoption of Mongolia’s first constitution and the proclamation of the Mongolian People’s Republic. Both days are regulated as public holidays under national law.
In line with the Law on Public Holidays and Anniversaries of Mongolia, the country has nine public holidays and anniversaries each year, which together account for a total of 16 days.
