The fifth political consultation meeting between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania was held on June 22, 2022 in Ulaanbaatar. Mr. Audrius Bruzga, Director of the Department of Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Pacific, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, two parties exchanged information on the current social and economic situation of the two countries, the implementation of development goals, and discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between Mongolia and Lithuania, as well as regional and international organizations.
In particular, the two parties agreed to pay mutual visits, seek opportunities to expand trade and economic relations between Mongolia and Lithuania, and intensify cooperation in the fields of culture, education and transportation.
The two parties also agreed that the appointment of an Honorary Consul is important for the development of relations and cooperation, and expressed readiness to make a decision in this regard in the near future.
