Prime Minister signs accountability agreement with cabinet ministers

Prime Minister G.Zandanshatar has signed an accountability agreement with members of the Cabinet. The agreement, which consists of 4 articles and 22 clauses, will remain in effect throughout the Cabinet’s term and will be reviewed annually by December 31.

The Prime Minister underlined that the Constitution of Mongolia states “democratic principles, justice, freedom, equality, national unity, and the rule of law are the foundations of state activity”.

He stated, “Every citizen of Mongolia must strictly uphold these constitutional principles. As Prime Minister, I am signing this accountability agreement with cabinet members to ensure unity, trust, people centered development, an ethical state, and the guiding motto ‘One policy – public effort’ in the service of the state and the people. The practice of signing such agreements has become a standard not only globally but also in our country, setting an example of equal application of the law, justice, equal opportunity, respect for the rule of law, and ethical governance.”

The Prime Minister emphasized that disciplinary measures will be taken against any Minister who violates Mongolian laws and regulations, acts contrary to state principles and government policies, or fails to comply with cabinet procedures.
