The Parliament of Mongolia has approved a law on supporting the film industry which is a reason for domestic and foreign film studios and television filmmakers to visit Mongolia.
The law is based on the best practices of developed countries. In particular, there is a provision for reimbursement and financial support for eligible artists, and Mongolia aims to become an attractive country for filmmakers in the near future. It will accompany the film market to develop Mongolia's creative industry, promote its unique culture and heritage to the world, create new job positions and attract foreign direct investment.
Ch.Nomin, the Minister of Culture, who worked hard to draft a law to support the film industry, said “We wanted to show that Mongolia is focusing on developing a film industry that meets the world standard. Mongolia is ready to welcome leading television studios and work with them to develop the creative industry.”
