The 14th Ulaanbaatar Winter Festival will take place at Sky Resort on January 31- February 1, 2026, aiming to develop special-interest winter tourism, extend the tourist season, increase visitor numbers, and offer citizens family-friendly recreation.
The festival promotes Mongolia’s winter landscape, customs and cultural heritage, supports emerging winter and extreme sports, and encourages healthy, active lifestyles among youth and families. Organisers expect wide participation from across the country and the region.

In addition to more than 1,000 teams from Ulaanbaatar and the 21 provinces, the festival will host over 50 foreign athletes, including competitors of Mongolian ethnicity from China’s Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang regions, and athletes from Buryatia, Kalmykia, Tuva, Kazakhstan and the United States.
