The celebrations marking the 2234th Anniversary of the founding of the first Mongolian state, the 819th Anniversary of the establishment of the Great Mongol Empire, the 114th Anniversary of the restoration of national independence and sovereignty, and the 104th anniversary of the People’s Revolution concluded with the National Naadam Festival of Wrestling.
In this year’s tournament, E.Batmagnai, a native of Jinst soum, Bayankhongor province, secured the prestigious State Naadam wrestling championship, winning all nine rounds. Representing his province for the first time in 76 years, he was awarded the revered title of "State Lion" (Ulsiin Arslan) by presidential decree.
N.Usukhbayar, a province's lion (aimgiin arslan), also delivered an impressive performance, winning eight matches and earning the title of "State Garid". He made history as the first wrestler from Sukhbaatar province to receive the State Garid title.
