The well known conferences 'Coal Mongolia', 'Metals Mongolia' and the biggest mining equipment/technology expo 'MineTech' have now been merged and will take place annually as 'Coal & Metals Mongolia' showcasing opportunities in coal, metals and infrastructure domains.
This year the merged international event attracts some 600 participants from top mining, metallurgy and infrastructure, equipment/technology companies along with officials from Government of Mongolia to discuss the future of these broad sectors.
Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg were scheduled to give an address but couldn't attend due to trips in rural communities.
Glogex LLC CEO L.Naranbaatar opened the event and welcomed all guests and introduced 2 day agenda as well as the speakers and panelists.

Minister of Mining R.Jigjid gave an opening speech saying "I would like to thank the organizers for continuously holding these events. Now that the 3 events are merged, the scope of Coal & Metals 2016 is broader, attracting more investors, business entities which will be beneficial and dynamic to participating industry sector."
Next, Minister of Mongolia M.Enkhsaikhan said "First of all, welcome to 'Coal & Metals Mongolia 2016'. I think it's appropriate to thank all the investors for not losing faith, trust in Mongolia's geology, mining, infrastructure sectors during this hard time of economic slump and fall of commodity price globally. The time to act is now, we can't afford to lose time. We must move forward with our mega projects and GOM plays important role to create favourable, stable market that investors trust and willing to invest. He also gave presentation on 'Coal and Energy' and solution methods out of current mining, infrastructre situation.
