Mongolian archer Gunbileg Ganbaatar won the gold medal in women’s Kyrgyz-style horseback archery at the VI World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan.
The two-day competition brought together 45 female athletes from 32 countries. G.Gunbileg demonstrated her speed, agility, and archery skills to finish first and claim the title of champion.
Her victory marked the third gold medal for Mongolia at this edition of the World Nomad Games. According to the source report, Mongolia ranked fourth among 106 participating countries in the overall standings.
Earlier, Mongolia’s team of D.Lkhagva-Ochir, Kh.Gochoosuren, B.Munkhbayar, T.Munkh-Erdene, and Ts.Begzsuren won gold in the team event, bringing Mongolia’s national anthem to the top of the podium.

The Mongolian team also achieved a series of strong results in other traditional sports.
In sambo wrestling:
- B.Serik — +98 kg, bronze medal
- N.Munkhbayar — -79 kg, bronze medal
- In horseback riding:
- Sh.Kharjaubai — +100 kg, bronze medal
In Kyrgyz kurash:
- G.Munkhbat — -60 kg, bronze medal
- B.Bat-Orshikh — +100 kg, bronze medal
