A group of 296 students who met the requirements of the “President’s Scholar-2100” scholarship and completed preparatory programs at the National University of Mongolia and the Mongolian State University of Science and Technology have departed the country to pursue higher education abroad.
This year’s scholars will study at universities in 15 countries: the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Canada, Poland, Australia, Japan, China, Korea, Turkey, Hungary, Lithuania, and Cuba.
Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the President of Mongolia, bid farewell to the students, gifted the national flag, and wished them success. He congratulated them for completing their preparatory programs and encouraged them to study diligently, noting that their academic success will depend on their dedication and hard work. The President also expressed the nation’s trust in the younger generation and urged the students to uphold Mongolia’s honor, support one another, and remain patriotic.
Under the “President’s Scholar-2100” program, a total of 758 students are currently studying at universities in 19 countries worldwide. The scholarship, launched in 2021 to increase Mongolians’ global competitiveness and expand equal educational opportunities, selects outstanding students from each of the 330 soums and the capital city’s khoroos each year and helps them enroll at leading universities abroad.
