The Mongolia’s Minister of Finance B.Bolor is paying a working visit to Canada for taking part in the PDAC International Convention running in Toronto.

Within the visit, the Finance Minister Monday met with Ms Chrystia Freeland, a member of Canadian parliament and the Minister of International Trade, exchanging views with her on the bilateral economic cooperation, trade and investment issues.

Mr Bolor noted the government of Mongolia attaches great significance to a sustainable development of the Mongolia-Canada cooperation, realizing a policy on foreign investments, and is making big efforts to positively resolve matters for Canadian investors.

The sides concurred to actively collaborate in augmenting the quotas for Mongolian students studying in highly-developed countries especially in Canada in times of an expansion of the Mongolian external relations and a realization of the multi-pillar economic policy, to support and protect Canadian investments and to conclude an intergovernmental agreement in near future on these matters.

PDAC International Convention, Trade Show & Investors Exchange is the world’s leading Convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration.

The Finance Minister’s visit will continue until March 10.
