The MongolZ crowned Esports World Cup Champions

Mongolia’s esports team The MongolZ emerged victorious in the Counter-Strike 2 category of the Esports World Cup 2025, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The tournament featured 16 top teams competing for a total prize pool of USD 1.25 million. In the finals, The MongolZ defeated Turkey’s Aurora Gaming with a decisive 3:0 sweep in the best-of-five series.

The team opened strong on their chosen Mirage map, securing a hard-fought 16:14 overtime victory. They then extended their lead with a 13:9 win on Dust II, Aurora’s pick, before closing the match in dominant fashion on Nuke with a 13:4 scoreline.

With this win, The MongolZ not only claimed the championship title but also took home the USD 500,000 grand prize.

M.Sodbayar, known by his gamer tag Techno4K, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament for his outstanding performance.
