L.Enkh-Amgalan, the Minister of Education and Science, and acting Minister of Digital Development, reported the decision made by today’s Cabinet meeting.
He reported “The issue of intensification of the e-nation program was discussed during today's cabinet meeting. As of today, 1,200 services of 21 provinces and 685 state services nationwide have become digital. By the end of 2022, about 600 additional services will be added to E-Mongolia. Therefore, about 1,200 government services will be provided to citizens through E-Mongolia quickly, without any corruption and any complications.
Also, we are working on transferring the mining licenses to an electronic system. 13,000 licenses were issued in the past. It was not clear who obtained these licenses and what operations they run; mining or exploration.
The mining sector is a major sector of Mongolian economy. Therefore, licenses will be issued electronically to stop illegal trading.
