“The Cabinet discussed and approved a draft resolution on measures to combat price increases. This resolution includes several provisions related to meat price increases, inflation, and the shortage of reserve meat in the capital. It also provides that the sale of reserve meat will continue until July 1.
If the purchase of reserve meat is not taken into account, the e-barimt records show that one person is buying it repeatedly. This raises concerns that the meat may not be going to the intended target group.
In addition, there is a discrepancy between the amount of reserve meat sold and the remaining stock prepared by the capital. There is a possibility that some sales were made without Ibarimt, and this needs to be clarified.
The government will pay special attention to the supply of reserve meat. We will also provide some support regarding the meat sold by nine named companies from January 15 to April 10.
When the contract was first signed, reserve meat was sold at ₮13,000 for mutton and ₮15,000 for beef. In order to fulfill that contract, it was decided to sell the 14,000 tons of meat currently in storage at the same prices, which are ₮2,000–₮3,000 lower than current market rates. The sale of reserve meat will continue until July 1, and new meat will be released into reserve stock after June 15”.
