By initiation of Academic Kh.Namsrai "Young Talent Support Fund" was established with Mongolian Science Academy and The World Academy of Sciences for advancement of science in developing countries. Since 1995 this fund has been selecting young scientists works in math-biology sector and winners are awarded with prize of USD 1000. Since then total of 44 young talents were selected and awarded.
This year Mongolian young talents B.Munkhbat, Professor at Engineering School, Applied Sciences Department of NUM and G.Tserenchunt, President of Medical Science Association and Head of Oyun Onosh Science and Technology Center.
The prize requirements include researchers of under age 40 and with PhD degrees. The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) for advancement of science in developing countries nominates the candidates for the prize.
Doctor B.Munkhbat is specializing in research of new materials for semi-conductor use and nuclear reactor design. He successfully incorporated computers at Nuclear Research Center to build high capacity cluster server and together with his associates have calculated reactor design.
Doctor G.Tserenchunt for last 10 years has dedicated his research in immunohistochemistry and modern research in molecular biology in order to address the causes of cancer, its diagnosis and treatment.
