Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of DPRK presents credentials

President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga accepted letter of credence of the newly affiliated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to Mongolia, Mr O Sung Ho on January 8. 

After accepting the credentials, President Battulga received Ambassador O Sung Ho. 

Ambassador O Sung Ho said “I express gratitude to President Khaltmaagiin Battulga for receiving me. First of all, I wish to convey the warm greetings of the Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and Supreme Commander of the armed forces of DPRK, H.E. Mr. Kim Jong-un.”

He then added “This year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Mongolia and DPRK. Our government is paying close attention to further developing long-standing friendship of 70 years. Our side is planning to organize several events within the frames of the 70th diplomatic anniversary. I am confident that the bilateral relations will continue further. I am certain that Mongolia will prosper under the policy and leadership of H.E. Mr. Battulga Khaltmaa and the Government.”

In response, the President Battulga said, “Congratulations, Mr. O Sung Ho, on your appointment as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mongolia. Being appointed as an Ambassador on the year that marks the 70th jubilee of diplomatic relations is a significant responsibility. Therefore, I am confident our two countries’ friendship will keep growing strong.”

“Furthermore, it will be our pleasure to cooperate with DPRK in areas of agriculture and sports. I wish success in your work as the Ambassador,” marked the President.
