Mongolia-France Business Meeting held

Today /2024.10.30/ the Mongolia-France Business Meeting took place at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI).

Led by "Mongolia-France Business Council" President and Orano Group Chairman Claude Imauven, the French delegation included representatives from various sectors. Highlighting Mongolia’s resource-rich potential, especially in agriculture and oil, Imauven expressed optimism about new collaboration opportunities emerging from today’s meeting.

MNCCI CEO T.Duuren announced that MNCCI is preparing to establish its first European branch. This aims to attract French and European members, facilitating closer Mongolia-Europe business ties.

Currently, Mongolia imports over $100 million in French goods but exports only $20-25 million, mostly limited to cashmere and mining products. He highlighted the need for export financing to diversify Mongolia’s economy and raise incomes.

Additionally, BPIFRANCE and Trade and Development Bank signed an MoU for further collaboration.
