First baby girl to father E.Khatanbold and mother G.Azzaya, natives of Dalanzadgad soum, Umnugobi aimag has been announced as the 3 millionth citizen of Mongolia. Baby girl was born on January 24th at 08:27AM and resgistered 73th birth of that day. President Ts.Elbegdorj named 3 millionth citizen Mongoljin on the request from parents.

PM signs the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mine Development and Financing Plan
The development of the underground mine at Oyu Tolgoi in Mongolia has taken a significant step forward with the signing of the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mine Development and Financing Plan (the Plan) by the Government of Mongolia, Turquoise Hill Resources and Rio Tinto. The Plan addresses the key outstanding shareholder issues and sets out an agreed basis for the funding of the project. Therefore, Oyu Tolgoi to receive US$ 2 billion investment.

The President of the Federal Republic of Germany Joachim Gauck paid state visit to Mongolia
The state visit of the Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany J. Gauck that took place through October 14-16, 2015. During the visit, two sides signed agreements to expand the Mongolia-Germany partnership in the scientific field along with a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in the mineral resources and industrial sector, which was signed between private sector representatives of the two countries.
