Mr.Motegi asks support on new international airport from PM

Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. Motegi Toshimitsu, who is on an official visit at the invitation of his Mongolian counterpart, has paid official visit to Prime Minister of Mongolia U. Khurelsukh.

The meeting started at 14:50 and lasted for 35 minutes. During the meeting PM expressed his satisfaction for Japanese government attaching great importance to its relations and cooperation with Mongolia. Furthermore, he reaffirmed its commitment to expand relations and cooperation with its ‘third neighbor’ Japan in all aspects. He also expressed his gratitude for Japan has been supporting Mongolia during this pandemic period.

In response, Mr. Motegu Toshimitsu expressed his gratitude to the Mongolian party for the warm welcome and expressed hope that the "Strategic Partnership" between Japan and Mongolia would continue to develop under the leadership of Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh.

Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh emphasized that the new Ulaanbaatar International Airport is a new symbol of cooperation between Japan and Mongolia, and that the commissioning of the new airport has been delayed due to the outbreak of Covid-19, and expressed his support on beginning the operation of the airport.
