On Jul 20th, 69th Japanese sumo wrestling grand champion Hakuho reached 1047 career wins and shares the same record with Kaio, who held the second highest rank of champion for eleven years from 2000 to 2011 reached 1047 career wins during 1970-1991.
On 30 May 2007 at the age of 22 Hakuho became the second native of Mongolia, and the fourth non-Japanese overall, to be promoted to the highest rank in sumo, yokozuna and in November 2016 he became only the third wrestler to reach 1000 career wins.
Now Hakuho has three more wrestling in Nagoya Basho tournament which he can break the record of career wins.
