An undisturbed noble tomb dating back 1,800 years to the Xianbei era has been discovered in Yeruu soum, Selenge province. It is considered the first large-scale, unequipped, and historically significant tomb from the Xianbei era found in Mongolia.
Archaeologists are currently excavating the main chamber. Experts believe this supports the theory that the Orkhon–Selenge basin was once home to a Xianbei state.
