51 measles cases confirmed by laboratory

In the last 24 hours, 12 cases of measles were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar, 8 in Dundgovi province, and 4 in Umnugovi province, bringing the total confirmed cases to 51, along with 11 suspected cases, according to the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD).

Rapid response teams are actively working in affected provinces and children’s institutions, providing surveillance, vaccination, and professional guidance to control the outbreak.

Health officials urge parents and guardians to ensure their children are fully vaccinated against measles. Those who missed their second dose should contact their family or soum health center for a catch-up vaccination.

Individuals experiencing fever, rash, or contact with a confirmed measles case are advised to seek medical attention at the Emergency Department of the NCCD (Rooms 1 or 2) or their local health center.
