Due to the upcoming presidential election on June 26, S.Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city issued a decree prohibiting any public event and selling of alcohol.
The decree clearly states that any cultural, entertainment, sports activity and public event will not take place at Sukhbaatar square from 12 a.m of June 26th to 12 a.m of June 28th. Moreover, alcohol won`t be sold and served on these days.
June 26th is official public holiday according to the law of Mongolia. Thus, any organization working on this day shall provide employees with the opportunity to vote.
