The winners of the 2025 "President’s Scholar-2100" scholarship program, which selects one outstanding graduate from each of Mongolia's 330 soums and capital city districts to study at prestigious international universities, have been announced.
The Education Evaluation Center, in collaboration with the General State Registration Office, uses an automated system to review candidates without human intervention. This ensures that the best graduates from each soum and khoroo who meet the program’s requirements are selected.
The list of qualified candidates is generated automatically, and the Capital City Department of Education, along with the Departments of Education and Science in the provinces, verifies the documents before the final list is published.
In 2024, the "Regulations for granting scholarships" were amended to enhance the program’s framework. Selected students enroll in a preparatory program at a state-owned university, where they receive training in general academic subjects and foreign languages.
The preparatory program also focuses on communication skills, writing, cultural adaptation, social responsibility, and community service. Students who successfully complete the program are placed at universities abroad, based on their academic performance and fulfillment of the preparatory program’s requirements.
