Housing frauds of MNT 50.1 billion losses occurred to 714 citizens this year

On May 29, the State Police Department organized a press conference about the current situation. In the first quarter of 2024, there were 714 victims of housing fraud with an amount of MNT 50.1 billion.

This is MNT 5.4 billion higher than the total damage caused by housing fraud in the last decade. In particular, in the last 10 years, 750 cases of this type of fraud were registered, and MNT 44.7 billion loss occurred.

In the last three years, 96,343 crimes were registered in the police, 32.5% or over 31,000 were fraud crimes which include housing fraud, online fraud, visa and transportation fraud, and others.
