Sco secretary pays courtesy call on president of Mongolia

On March 28th, President of Mongolia Khaltmaagiin Battulga received Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Rashid Alimov. The latter is paying a two-day visit to Mongolia. 

Beginning the meeting, Mr. Rashid Alimov expressed gratitude to President Battulga for his time and gave an introduction of SCO activities. The SCO Secretary General provided comprehensive information on the SCO’s efforts in the fight against drugs and terrorism and the organization’s commitment to broadening economic cooperation. 

In response, President Battulga extended gratitude to the SCO for promoting cultural and economic cooperation, along with combating use of narcotics and terrorism. The head of state asserted Mongolia will take an active part in the SCO Summit expected to take place in June in Qingdao, China.
