Today, February 2, marks the 133rd anniversary of the birth of Sukhbaatar Damdin, Mongolia’s national hero, the revolutionary leader celebrated for his role in Mongolia’s struggle for independence.
To mark the occasion, a flower-laying ceremony will be held at the home where D.Sukhbaatar was born.. The Internal Troops Headquarters will also organise a commemorative programme, “Following the footsteps of Ikh Janjin D.Sukhbaatar…”, to preserve his legacy and promote patriotic education.
The programme will include history-and-patriotism training sessions, educational events, and activities designed to strengthen military–civilian cooperation involving Internal Troops leadership, officers, and conscripts. Three competitions for conscripts are planned alongside cultural and artistic performances. Outstanding soldiers who have served their communities will be recognised and rewarded.
Organisers say the events aim to pass on D.Sukhbaatar’s historical merits and patriotic ideals to younger generations and to foster a stronger sense of national service and civic responsibility.
