During a visit to the People’s Republic of China in February, Mongolian President Kh. Battulga announced that Mongolia will donate 30,000 sheep to China as assistance for Covid-19 pandemic period. And the Chinese side requested to take these sheep alive.
According to this, a working group chaired by D. Batmunkh, Head of the Livestock Development Policy and Coordination Department of the Ministry of Food and Light Industry, was established. They will supply 14,000 from Dornogovi and the rest from Khentii and Sukhbaatar provinces
According to the working group report, the sheep will be procured, grazed for 15 days, and handed over to the quarantine zone in Zamiin-Uud on October 6.
