Speaker of the Parliament Uchral Nyam-Osor will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation on February 9–12, at the invitation of State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin.
The visit aims to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Mongolia and Russia, maintain the momentum of high-level mutual visits, continue political dialogue and expand cooperation between the two countries’ legislative bodies.
Officials said it is also intended to create a favourable legal framework for cooperation in political, economic, business and trade sectors.
During the visit, Speaker N.Uchral will hold official meetings with Vyacheslav V.Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, and Valentina I.Matvienko, Speaker of the Federation Council, to exchange views on traditional neighbourly relations and interparliamentary cooperation.
The second session of the Joint Commission for Cooperation between the Mongolia and Russian Parliament will be held in Moscow as part of the programme.
Speaker N.Uchral is also scheduled to meet Bakhytzhan Abdirovich Sagintayev, currently serving as the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, to discuss issues related to implementation of the Interim Trade Agreement between Mongolia and EAEU member states.
In addition, the Parliament delegation will take part in a business forum on Mongolia–EAEU economic cooperation.
