D.Alimaa becomes first Mongolian to complete the six World Marathon Majors, earns pair of “Six Star” medals

Marathon runner D.Alimaa, who lives and trains in the United States, completed the Tokyo Marathon on March 1, 2026, earning a second set of Abbott World Marathon Majors “Six Star” medals after finishing the six major marathons: Boston Marathon, Berlin Marathon, London Marathon, Chicago Marathon, New York City Marathon and Tokyo Marathon. The Six Star Medal is awarded by the Abbott World Marathon Majors program to runners who complete those six races.

On March 1, 2026, she successfully ran in the marathon held in Tokyo, where she won a pair of "Six Star" medals and became the first Mongolian to successfully participate in the world's six major marathons twice.

D.Alimaa has successfully run the official full marathon distance for the 39th time, 16 of which were within the framework of the World Marathon Majors series.
