The Spanish men’s national 3x3 basketball team, winners of the FIBA 3x3 World Cup 2025, visited Gandantegchinlen Monastery in Ulaanbaatar to learn about Mongolian culture, explore the heritage of Buddhism, and pay their respects by performing full body prostration.
Spain claimed the championship title for the first time in the tournament’s history after defeating Switzerland in the final with a score of 21–17. This historic victory marks the first gold medal for Spain in 3x3 basketball. Their previous best result was a fourth-place finish in 2016.
