At the invitation of President U. Khurelsukh, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemelovich Tokayev, has arrived for a state visit to Mongolia on October 28-29, 2024.
President Tokayev was welcomed at the "Buyant-Ukhaa" International Airport by Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg, Kazakhstan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mongolia, G.B. Koishybayev, and other officials.
During the visit, Mongolian President Ukhnaa Khurelsukh and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will hold official talks. The two sides will review the achievements of their over 30-year relationship, discuss elevating their traditional friendly ties to a new level, and exchange ideas on enhancing cooperation in economic areas and deepening their partnerships in international and regional platforms.
The heads of state are expected to brief the media on the results of their discussions.
During the visit, government officials from both countries will sign documents aimed at strengthening the legal framework of bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in sectors such as transportation, logistics, agriculture, veterinary science, information technology, culture, and tourism.
This state visit by President Tokayev marks the first visit by a Kazakh head of state in 16 years, following the last in 2008.
Mongolia and the Republic of Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations on January 22, 1992.
