A fake video of the President of Mongolia speaking Chinese, made by using modern technology and software, was posted on social media recently. And the police are investigating the case of defamation of the President of Mongolia and distribution of edited videos.
M and A, citizens of Mongolia, posted the video on social media, and it may be criminal to attack national unity and independence of Mongolia, attack the dignity and reputation of others, and spread false information.
On November 20, we obtained a statement from the suspect and arrested him without a court order in accordance with Article 31.5 of the Criminal Investigation Law. They may have committed the crime of disseminating false information under Article 13.14 of the Criminal Code.
