By the invitation of G.Zandanshatar, the Speaker of Mongolian Parliament, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Laos Xaysomphone Phomvihane will pay an official visit on September 7-10.
This is the visit to Mongolia after 11 years at the level of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Laos. Also, it marks the beginning of the new sixties of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The visit is important for Mongolia to receive the support of Laos when Mongolia becomes a dialogue partner of ASEAN and joins regional processes such as APEC.
Within the framework of the visit, G.Zandanshatar, the Speaker of Mongolian Parliament, has planned to hold a meeting with the Speaker of the National Assembly of Laos Xaysomphone Phomvihane, and U.Khurelsukh, the President of Mongolia will also receive him.
During the meeting, it is planned to expand friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Laos, including inter-parliamentary cooperation, to strengthen cooperation in the international arena, and to exchange views on issues of international and regional interest.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1962, two countries have mutually organized high-level state visits, have friendly relations, and have expanded and developed cooperation in many fields such as trade, economy, culture, and humanitarianism.
