On September 8, a wildfire broke out in the “Tsuurain ekh" area of Bayantes Soum, and the emergency team of Zavkhan province held a meeting at 23:00 of that day to take emergency measures step by step. The fire has crossed the border of Tuva, Russia, and currently covers 7,200 hectares of land.
As of today, professional units of Songino, Tudevtei, Numrug, Asgat, and Bayankhairkhan soums are involving in the operation. Also, a total of 324 people from Tes soum’s Border Guard Unit No. 0277, Armed Forces Unit No.325 Unit No.274, Governor's Office of the province, and emergency headquarters are working at the fire site with 43 pieces of equipment.
The damping process is difficult, because the fire broke out in mountainous areas. The amount of the fire in the territory of Tuva is still unknown.
