N.Nomtoibayar: Remote work introduced for civil servants to reduce expenses

At today’s regular Cabinet meeting, the government presented the decisions it made and discussed several issues.

Deputy Prime Minister N.Nomtoibayar said that the government has begun its work and has already taken steps to address tax-related issues, including reopening the accounts of around 12,100 companies that were closed due to tax debt and 3,800 companies with VAT debt. He added that 23 issues were discussed at today’s meeting and 49 tasks from the Prime Minister’s official instructions were assigned to ministers.

The Cabinet also discussed the resolution on the State Emergency Commission and the release of goods, materials, and compensation from the State Reserve.

N.Nomtoibayar said the Prime Minister is following a principle of not making excuses when solving problems, but instead moving quickly to find solutions and support the private sector.

He also announced that state employees will work remotely for one day a week in order to save costs. Private organizations, he noted, may regulate remote work according to their own internal rules.
