92% support proposal to ban children under 16 from Facebook and TikTok

Minister of Education P. Naranbayar announced that the government has begun studying the development of a bill to ban children under 16 from accessing social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and TikTok.

Following this announcement, GoGo.mn conducted a public poll asking, "Do you support banning children under 16 from accessing social networks?"

As of 10 AM on February 19, a total of 2,878 people participated in the poll. The results were as follows:

  • Supported – 2,649 votes
  • Disapproved – 205 votes
  • Don't know – 24 votes

This means that 92% of respondents expressed support for the proposed ban.
