Mongolia’s 35th Prime Minister N.Uchral receives government seal

The plenary session of the Parliament to appoint the Prime Minister concluded at 11:00 PM on March 30, following which N.Uchral officially assumed office as Mongolia’s 35th Prime Minister and received the government seal.

The 34th Prime Minister G.Zandanshatar handed over the state seal during the official transition ceremony. During the handover, he highlighted the ongoing deliberative polling aimed at consolidating revenues from subsoil resources into the National Wealth Fund and ensuring their equitable distribution among current and future generations. The initiative also seeks to increase fund revenues, strengthen capital accumulation, and build public consensus on the effective use of these resources.

G.Zandanshatar also transferred key documents related to negotiations with entities holding licenses for strategically important mineral deposits, the draft framework for Mongolia’s five-year development plan for 2026–2030, and materials concerning the Oyu Tolgoi negotiations. He concluded by wishing the newly appointed Prime Minister success in his duties.
