Mongolia and Italy discuss new opportunities for trade and investment cooperation

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development J.Enkhbayar recently met with Giovanna Piccarreta, the Ambassador of Italy to Mongolia, alongside Guglielmo Picchi, Chairman of the Italian Export Credit Agency (SACE). The discussions centered on strengthening bilateral economic ties and identifying new avenues for trade and investment.

During the meeting, SACE representatives outlined the agency's operations and presented various mechanisms to support Mongolian-Italian commercial partnerships. The Italian delegation detailed available financial solutions, including loans and financial guarantees tailored for Mongolian entrepreneurs, aimed at facilitating robust export and import activities between the two nations.

They expressed a strong commitment to working closely with the Mongolian government to implement these initiatives.

S.Baatarsuren, CEO of the Development Bank of Mongolia, also participated in the dialogue. He highlighted a specific upcoming collaboration involving the Mongolian Wool and Cashmere Association, and expressed desire to introduce the best equipment from Italy to this sector.
