Minister of Education L.Enkh-Amgalan provided information on issues discussed and decisions made at the regular Cabinet meeting.
He said that approximately 1,200 schools and kindergartens had been connected to sewage treatment systems over the past three years.
Therefore, starting from October 1, no school or kindergarten will use outdoor pit latrines.
To date, 764 sanitation facilities have been put into operation, with MNT 124.6 billion spent on the work.
The following is the current status of schools, kindergartens, and dormitories connected to sewage treatment systems:
- Schools: 332, of which 317 are operational
- Kindergartens: 218, of which 210 are operational
- Dormitories: 245, of which 237 are operational
