Testing is underway to verify the safety and reliability of the cable car transport system. The tests are assessing the proper operation of the steel cables and cabin speed, as well as the safety sensors integrated into the braking and control systems.
To evaluate the system’s performance under abnormal conditions, tests are also being conducted by simulating scenarios such as power outages, overspeeding, simultaneous operation of multiple cabins, and sudden stops. These tests are designed to assess how the safety and control systems respond under such conditions.
During the initial testing phase, five cabins have been installed to verify system operations. Subsequently, all 96 cabins will undergo mechanical testing with each cabin loaded with 750 kilograms of water or sandbags.
Before the project is submitted to the state commission for acceptance, the French inspection and certification group Bureau Veritas will conduct an independent engineering audit.
The audit will assess compliance with approved designs and applicable norms and standards, the quality of materials and workmanship, the safety of engineering systems, and potential operational risks.
Founded in 1828, Bureau Veritas operates in the fields of design, construction supervision, inspection, certification, and risk management. According to the company, it has been involved in more than 5,000 international construction projects and carried out inspections of more than 10,000 buildings.
