During a working visit to the United States, Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg took part in the “Critical Minerals Ministerial Meeting”, held at the initiative of the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The meeting drew foreign ministers and senior officials from 55 countries, together with representatives responsible for mining and mineral policy. Participants from major mineral producing and consuming countries discussed ways to ensure a stable, reliable supply chain and processing capacity for critical minerals, resources the meeting described as essential for economic growth and advanced technology manufacturing.
Organisers said the ministerial initiative is distinctive for its emphasis on private sector collaboration and investment as the basis for international cooperation in the critical minerals sector.
